Renovating the century-old Queenslander which we love seemed the only way to create the spaces we want for our retirement.

The thought of taking out walls and adding bits on when we knew there was a dodgy built-in veranda and various other constructional obstacles, as well as all the more attractive decisions to be made, was daunting.

However, from our first meeting with Kev, the plan just rolled out with every query and request answered, and with such good feeling and professionalism, we never doubted it wasn’t going to work.

Kev arranged for all testing, permits and approvals, and when he presented us with a Preliminary Agreement, we felt confident that we had chosen the right man for the job.

There were a few issues to be addressed because of old renovations, but between Kev, Jace and Cam, they all resolved beautifully. We were very impressed with all the contractors Kev used – all skilled professionals who were keen to do the best job, and the nicest people as well.

Cam and Jace were our hands-on building team, and if I ever thought they’d get sick of my questions and particularities, I was so wrong. Nothing was too much trouble, and it was a pleasure to have them working so closely for three months.

Nearly two years later, we love the space they built for us. We spend most of our time in these areas and have no regrets with any of the decisions made.

Kev was recommended to us spontaneously by a neighbour, and we are very happy to pass on that recommendation.
